On Thursday 26 February 2026, the Luxauto had the privilege of attending the official inauguration of the new E-MOTION within GRIDX in Luxembourg.

A major event for all those with a passion for cars, technology and innovation, marking a new stage in the development of premium sim racing in the Grand Duchy.

A strategic location in the heart of Luxembourg

Already present at Paris and expanding internationally (Rome, Miami...), E-MOTION confirms its European ambitions with this new centre in Luxembourg.

Located in GRIDX, As a digital, entrepreneurial and lifestyle crossroads, the centre offers a professional automotive simulation experience accessible to enthusiasts and the curious alike.

During our exclusive chat before the inauguration evening, Edouard Schumacher, founder of the group Car Lovers and Chairman of’E-MOTION, told us:

«Luxembourg is a cultural and economic crossroads. Situated between France, Belgium and Germany, with a dense population and strong purchasing power, it was an obvious strategic choice. Here, we're part of a place that's already destined to become a destination.»

An entrepreneurial alliance built around a passion for cars

The centre E-MOTION Luxembourg is the result of a meeting between Edouard Schumacher and Jean-Marc Kieffer, a well-known Luxembourg entrepreneur in the construction and property sectors.

Their association dates back to 2024, during a stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup France in Barcelona. It was a natural meeting point for motor sport, which has become a key project for Luxembourg.

An exceptional ambassador: Esteban Ocon

Impossible to mention E-MOTION not to mention its ambassador and shareholder : Esteban Ocon, Formula 1 driver for the Haas team.

His involvement goes far beyond image:

• Technical configuration of simulators
• Participation in talent selections
• Support for young pilots

Edouard Schumacher explained:

«Esteban was one of the first technical contributors. He configured our single-seater simulators. And when 16-year-old Lenny won the championship, it was he who called him personally. For a young enthusiast to get a call from Esteban Ocon is just incredible.»

An immersive experience that the Luxauto team has tried out!

Of course, we couldn't attend the inauguration without testing the simulators.

The verdict? Impressive.

The simulators are configured by real professional drivers. An exclusive database will even allow you to drive with the specific settings of certain GT or single-seater drivers.

All the simulators are calibrated to the same level of performance, guaranteeing total fairness in competition.

Thanks to The Grida sim racing championship open to all, organised in conjunction with the network of E-MOTION simulator centres, E-MOTION has already enabled a young Luxembourg talent to land a pilot contract worth between €150,000 and €200,000.

Edouard Schumacher explained:

«You can train endlessly on the simulator. There are no maintenance costs and no financial barriers. Tech helps to bring out talent that might otherwise never have had a chance.»

He tells us with emotion how eight young sim racers, some with no real experience, impressed a team of professional engineers from top racing teams.

«They were already ready. It was as if they had a whole season under their belts. The engineers were flabbergasted.»
